Chrysler Announces Special Meeting of Shareholders to Vote On Merger With Daimler-BenzAUBURN HILLS, Mich., July 2 -- Chrysler Corporation today announced that a Special Meeting of Shareholders will be held on September 18, 1998 in Wilmington, Delaware. The purpose of the Special Meeting is to consider and vote on Chrysler's proposed business combination with Daimler-Benz AG . The meeting will start at 9 a.m., Local Time, and be held in the Hotel du Pont, 11th and Market Streets, Wilmington, Delaware. Shareholders of record at the close of business on July 20, 1998 will be entitled to vote at the Special Meeting. Further details will be set forth in a proxy statement that will be sent to all shareholders. Daimler-Benz AG shareholders are scheduled to vote on the merger proposal on the same day at a meeting in Stuttgart, Germany.
