Nissan Division June Sales up 8.5 Percent over May
CARSON, Calif., July 2 -- The Nissan Division of Nissan Motor
Corporation U.S.A. (NMC) reported total sales of 50,902 units, an 8.5 percent
increase from last month (48,813 units).
Combined car sales grew to 36,816 -- a 4.6 percent gain over last month.
Contributing to this were Maxima with sales of 9,624 units, up 15.2 percent
over last month, as well as Sentra, with sales of 9,891 units, up 29 percent
over last month, Altima sales were 15,402.
Frontier, Pathfinder and Quest had sales of 7,416, 4,287 and 2,383 units,
respectively. Combined truck sales were 14,086, a 20.1 percent increase over
last month.
Combined June sales for Nissan and Infiniti Divisions totaled 55,420
units.(a) Sales of Nissan's North American-produced vehicles accounted for
72.3 percent of June sales. Calendar year-to-date sales totaled 286,566
units.
Nissan Motor Corporation U.S.A., which includes the Infiniti luxury
division, markets and distributes Nissan and Infiniti vehicles in the United
States to more than 1,200 dealers.
(a) Includes estimated Infiniti sales for the day of June 30 due to a
dealer communications system problem.
