AlliedSignal To Host Chinese Delegates
MORRIS TOWNSHIP, N.J.--July 2, 1998--At the request of the International Labor Office (ILO), AlliedSignal Inc. is today hosting a delegation of Chinese government officials at its headquarters here for a presentation on chemical safety.The delegates are touring the United States and Canada to study chemical safety procedures. AlliedSignal is the only manufacturer the group will visit during its U.S. tour.
The objective of the tour, under the ILO project, "Establishment of a National System for Chemical Safety at the Workplace in China," is to learn more about safety procedures, classification and labeling of hazardous substances in Canada and the U.S.
The delegates will be addressed by AlliedSignal representative Paul Stidham, Director, Health, Safety and Environmental, on the company's approach to chemical safety, as well as how the company interacts with regulatory agencies and complies with government regulations. The group represents China's Ministry of Labor and Ministry of Chemical Industry.
