Budget Group, Inc. Announces Pricing of Tender Offer for Ryder TRS Bond
    DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., July 1 -- Budget Group, Inc.
announced that it has determined the purchase price for the pending tender
offer and consent solicitation for the outstanding 10% Senior Subordinated
Notes Due 2006 (the "Fixed Rate Notes") of Ryder TRS, Inc. to be $1,159.81 per
U.S. $1,000 principal amount of the Fixed Rate Notes, including a consent
payment of U.S. $20 per U.S. $1,000 principal amount of the Fixed Rate Notes,
based on a payment date of July 8, 1998 (plus accrued and unpaid interest).
The purchase price is equal to the present value on the payment date based on
a yield of 6.067%, which is equal to the sum of the yield on the 6.125% U.S.
Treasury Note due December 31, 2001, as of 2:00 p.m. New York City Time on
June 30,1998, of 5.567%, plus 50 basis points.  The consent payment will be
payable only to those holders that validly tendered and consented prior to
5:00 p.m. New York City Time on June 18, 1998.
    Although the offer to purchase will remain open until 5:00 p.m. New York
City Time on July 2, 1998, Budget has already received tenders and consents
from registered holders representing 100% of the outstanding principal amount
of the fixed rate notes.
