SPS Completes Acquisition of Terry Machine Company

    JENKINTOWN, Pa., June 30 -- SPS Technologies, Inc.
announced today that it has completed the acquisition of Terry Machine Company
("Terry"), a manufacturer of specialty cold headed fasteners for the
automotive industry.  This acquisition, as previously announced, was subject
to regulatory approval which has recently been received.  For the year ended
April 30, 1998, Terry had sales of approximately $37.2 million.
    SPS intends to operate Terry as a part of its Automotive Fastener Group.
