Federal-Mogul Enters Into Agreement to Sell Fel-Pro Chemical Products Ltd.

    SOUTHFIELD, Mich., June 29 -- Federal-Mogul Corporation
, today announced it has entered into an agreement to sell Fel-Pro
Chemical Products L.P. to Loctite Corporation, a part of Henkel KGaA, a global
specialist in applied chemistry headquartered in Dusseldorf, Germany.
    "Fel-Pro Chemical is a well-run business that is highly respected in the
chemical industry," said Dick Snell, chairman and chief executive officer of
Federal-Mogul Corporation.  "This sale represents a complementary addition to
the chemical products offered by Loctite."  Loctite manufactures and markets a
broad range of high-technology sealants, adhesives and coatings in nearly
every country around the world.
    Fel-Pro Chemical Products L.P. operates five manufacturing and
distribution facilities worldwide and also operates a joint venture in
Santiago, Chile.  The total operations employ approximately 170 people with
the majority of its sales in industrial specialty chemicals.
    Completion of the sale is subject to regulatory approval and is expected
to be completed in the third quarter.  Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
    Headquartered in Southfield, Michigan, Federal-Mogul is a $5 billion
automotive parts manufacturer providing innovative solutions and systems to
global customers in the automotive, light truck, heavy-duty, farm and
