Best-Selling Business Author Eliyahu Goldratt To Headline Conference on Product Development Metrics

WALTHAM, Mass.--June 26, 1998--Management Roundtable is pleased to announce the participation of best-selling author and business luminary, Eliyahu Goldratt at the third annual conference, Metrics for Managing Products, Projects & Resources, a learning event focused on effective measurement systems for product development, to be held November 16-19, 1998 in Chicago, Illinois. Best known for his groundbreaking business novels, The Goal, and most recently, Critical Chain, Dr. Goldratt will draw from his popular "Theory of Constraints (TOC)" philosophy in a dedicated, full-day session entitled "Critical Chain: The TOC Way to Manage Projects."
With a strong reputation as a "slayer of sacred cows," Dr. Goldratt will systematically show product development professionals how to apply new ways of thinking to achieve peak performance and business results by re-inventing their development processes. In addition to his TOC methods, Dr. Goldratt will draw from his latest book, Critical Chain, as the foundation for the design of simple control systems for delivering projects on time, within budget and according to specifications.
Also featured at this year's conference is best-selling author Donald Reinertsen (Developing Products in Half the Time, Managing the Design Factory), who will show how to link development metrics to financial goals. In addition, practitioners from world-class companies such as Boeing, Rolls Royce Aerospace, Halliburton Energy Services, Lockheed Martin, and others will discuss the details of their respective product development metrics programs.
