The SICO Company Joins Forces With The FUELMAN/GASCARD Network

    MOUNT JOY, Penn.--June 25, 1998--The SICO Company, based in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania, has signed a Regional Marketer/Processor Agreement with FUELMAN/GASCARD, a national fleet fuel management network. Through its licensee agreement, The SICO Company is responsible for marketing and processing FUELMAN and GASCARD fuel management programs in a 29-county territory encompassing southern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, eastern Maryland, northern Virginia, and the State of Delaware.

It allows us to provide our commercial and government fleet customers with the industry's most comprehensive level of fuel cost control and nationwide access to the FUELMAN/GASCARD Network," said Mark Uehlein, Commercial & Industrial Sales Manager for The SICO Company. "The fuel management business is an exciting new market and we're glad to be part of its rapid growth," Uehlein added.
    Through a sub-licensing agreement, ShoreStop Corporation of Salisbury, Maryland, and Peninsula Oil Company of Seaford, Delaware, provide local service to FUELMAN/GASCARD customers on the Delmarva Peninsula, including the State of Delaware.
    Founded in 1876, The SICO Company is a major regional distributor, marketer, and retailer of petroleum products with access to two interstate pipelines, a deepwater terminal, and contract supplies from six major refiners. The Company owns and operates 13 bulk distribution terminals and a fleet of more than 180 vehicles. It's retail division supplies local service stations and dealers and includes company-operated Amoco and Exxon branded sites in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. It's Home Comfort division provides a full range of residential heating and cooling products and services.
    The FUELMAN/GASCARD Network provides comprehensive fuel and maintenance transaction processing and reporting for more than 70,000 commercial and government fleets through its network of more than 150 independently owned and operated regional licensees with more than 14,000 fueling locations and 2,000 maintenance locations in 48 states.
    The Network provides fleet fuel management services for the State of Delaware, and several other state governments, including: Idaho, Louisiana, Montana, New York, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, and Utah. It also serves hundreds of municipal fleets, including the City of New York.
