J.D. Power and Associates Launches New Study of Customer Satisfaction in Motorcycle IndustryAGOURA HILLS, Calif., June 24 -- J.D. Power and Associates announced today it will launch a new study -- The Motorcycle Competitive Information Study -- in early September. J.D. Power and Associates will provide motorcycle manufacturers with actionable information that will be used to better understand rider expectations, needs, desires and what it takes to satisfy today's motorcycle owners. This unique and comprehensive study will utilize information collected from detailed customer satisfaction questionnaires. More than 30,000 questionnaires will be mailed to buyers of all makes and models of new 1998 street and dual-sport motorcycles nationwide. The survey will address issues such as shopping dynamics, dealership experience, motorcycle impressions, media usage and rider demographics. Helmet, tire, apparel and other aftermarket features will also be covered. The information gathered will be processed and analyzed, and then made available to motorcycle manufacturers/distributors and aftermarket companies. J.D. Power and Associates has established a new team to manage this and other future motorsport projects such as, ATVs, personal watercrafts and snowmobiles.
