Plymouth Rubber Company, Inc. Elects Edward H. Pendergast Director

    CANTON, Mass., June 23 -- Plymouth Rubber Company, Inc.
(Amex: PLR.A; PLR.B) announced that Edward H. Pendergast has been elected to
its Board of Directors.  Mr. Pendergast has extensive experience in a variety
of executive positions, and has held a number of business directorships.
Among other positions, Mr. Pendergast has served as the President of Financial
Management and Consulting Corp., a financial consulting firm for growth
oriented companies, and the Chairman & CEO of Kennedy & Lehan, a leading New
England CPA consulting firm.  He is currently the President of Pendergast &
Company, a provider of corporate financial services to entrepreneurially
driven businesses.  Mr. Pendergast has served as a Director of Cambridge
Isotope Laboratories, PLC Systems, Symbus Technology, Formware Corporation,
and several other public and private companies.  He has a Bachelor's Degree in
Accounting and a Masters Degree in Taxation from Bentley College.
    Plymouth Rubber Company, Inc., manufactures and distributes vinyl and
rubber products, including automotive tapes, insulating tapes, and other
industrial tapes and films.  The Company's products are used by the electrical
supply industry, electric utilities, and automotive and other original
equipment manufacturers.
