Thermatrix and Lucas Diesel Systems Complete Joint Development Efforts

    SAN JOSE, Calif.--June 22, 1998--Thermatrix Inc. announced today the completion of the joint development project announced in November 1997 between Thermatrix Inc. and Lucas Diesel Systems, a division of LucasVarity plc.
    The program had provided for the development and testing of a prototype system utilizing the Thermatrix(R) patented flameless thermal oxidation (FTO) technology for the treatment of diesel engine emissions from mobile sources.

    Thermatrix is an industrial technology company that provides a range of products for the destruction or treatment of volatile organic compounds and hazardous air pollutants, including its patented flameless thermal oxidation technology to provide the world's leading flameless solution for destroying these pollutants and compounds. Thermatrix is currently focusing its development activities on the application of its FTO technology to treat the emissions from diesel engines, both mobile and stationary.
