MANN+HUMMEL AUTOMOTIVE Drafts Veteran Detroit Journalist For Director of CommunicationsBLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich., June 22 -- MANN+HUMMEL AUTOMOTIVE has named veteran Detroit automotive journalist Jon Lowell as director of communications. Lowell joins MANN+HUMMEL from WXYZ-TV where he was auto editor as well as a commentator on WJR radio. MANN+HUMMEL AUTOMOTIVE maintains a North American headquarters and manufacturing base in Portage, Michigan and a sales, communication, and program management office in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. The company is a leading manufacturer of plastic intake manifolds, air cleaners, resonators, air, oil and fuel filters, air induction systems, plastic pressurized surge tanks and brake fluid reservoirs and is a unit of MANN+HUMMEL GMBH of Ludwigsburg, Germany. Before joining WXYZ, Lowell was a senior editor for Ward's Auto World magazine and spent more than a dozen years as a Detroit-based correspondent for Newsweek magazine.
