Teletrac Launches Interactive Web Site; Site Demonstrates Real Solutions for Fleet Owners and Operators
KANSAS CITY, Mo.--June 22, 1998--Teletrac, Inc., a leading provider of vehicle location and fleet management services in metropolitan areas, has launched an improved, innovative new web site, www.teletrac-online.com.The new website was created in response to the success of the company's introductory site, launched in June of 1997.
In addition to featuring detailed information and graphics of the company's product portfolio, service locations, current news and corporate background information, the site introduces an new interactive component that addresses visitors' challenges relating to their location and communications needs.
Through an easy step-by-step process involving a series of questions, site visitors can determine which Teletrac solution will best meet their fleet location and management needs. These questions include, but are not limited to, "What is your primary challenge relating to your mobile resources?," "What is your primary tool for locating your vehicles?," and "Would communicating more accurate information to and from your drivers improve your bottom line?" Simultaneously to the visitor responding to these questions, the site processes the information and downloads customer success stories of companies with similar challenges and their achieved results from utilizing the Teletrac system.
"We designed the site to help maintain visibility among current customers of Teletrac while increasing awareness among prospective customers of the company's products and services," said David Feder, director of marketing for Teletrac. "The site's numerous applications allow visitors to determine how Teletrac can support their business challenges by providing low-cost solutions to increase fleet efficiency, improve customer service and enhance security for drivers and cargo. Also, the database of customer success stories allows visitors to see first-hand how like-businesses are using Teletrac to improve their operations."
The company has also produced a CD-ROM of the Teletrac website that is available to prospective and current customers who may not have Internet access.
"While our initial website served us well and proved to be extremely popular among our current and potential customers, it did not address the variety of challenges that our visitors were experiencing. Our new site is much more informative, user friendly and customer focused," said Feder. "We feel it will set the pace for the rest of the industry."
