Orbital, Daimler-Benz and Siemens Sign Agreement

    STUTTGART, Germany, June 19 -- Daimler-Benz ,
Siemens and Orbital Engine Corporation today signed an agreement
directed towards the application of the Orbital direct fuel injection system
on Mercedes engines.
    Orbital, Siemens and Daimler-Benz have been working together for two years
and have demonstrated that the Orbital technology can be applied to gasoline
engines with fuel economy benefits together with the capability to meet
stringent emissions standards.
    Daimler-Benz considers the Orbital system a highly interesting alternative
to the common injection systems.
