Carey International Announces Board of Director AppointmentsWASHINGTON, June 19 -- Carey International, Inc. today announced that Joseph V. Vittoria and Dennis I. Meyer were elected to the Board of Directors at the Company's Annual Meeting held June 3. Mr. Vittoria, 62, is chairman and chief executive officer of Travel Services International, Inc. From 1987 to 1997 he was chairman and chief executive officer of Avis, Inc. and from 1982-1987 served as president and Chief Operating Officer of the rent a car company. Mr. Meyer, 62, is a senior partner at Baker & McKenzie, an international law firm with 57 offices throughout the world. He also serves as a managing partner of the firm's North American offices and as a member of its Executive Committee. They are replacing William R. Hambrecht and David McL. Hillman who retired from the Board at the Annual Meeting upon the expiration of their terms. Mssrs. Vittoria and Meyer terms will expire in 2001. Total board membership remains at six.
