CINCINNATI--June 18, 1998--Structural Dynamics Research Corporation , the PDM market leader, today announced that it received a $1 million order for Metaphase Enterprise software and services valued from Sauer-Sundstrand, a worldwide leading supplier of controlled hydraulic power systems. This initial order will encompass implementation of SDRC's Metaphase Enterprise product data management (PDM) software in Sauer-Sundstrand's United States-based operations. The order was taken in the fourth quarter of 1997.

"We produce customer-specific hydraulic power systems that consist of a wide combination of components produced in several locations around the world. Given our growing products and markets, a tool like Metaphase is essential in helping us manage the development process and the vast amount of associated product data world-wide."
This is a multiyear project; Sauer-Sundstrand expects to roll out completed design and architecture of Phase 1 in the first half of 1998, using Metaphase Solution Delivery Methodology (MetaSDM(TM)) which is a systematic life cycle process that enables organizations to plan, implement, support, and continue their enterprise PDM solutions repeatably and cost-effectively.
Scott Beer, Manager, Design & Build Applications, Sauer-Sundstrand, said, "I see Metaphase as an extension of our long-standing SDRC partnership which is centered upon an alignment between their vision and our business processes."
