Magna Interior Systems Honors Center for Creative Studies Industrial Design Students for 'Ultimate Interior' Program DesignsDETROIT, June 17 -- Magna Interior Systems has honored five talented Center for Creative Studies (CCS) industrial design students with academic scholarships for their outstanding luxury car interior designs. The award-winning designers, Andrew Bailey, Micah Jones, Marc Mainville, William Mangan and Jason White participated in a five-week junior class spring project called "Designing the Ultimate Luxury Car Interior." The design program, sponsored by Magna Interior Systems, was a collaborative effort headed by Bill Porter, CCS industrial design class instructor, design students and personnel from the Magna Styling Group. Magna personnel worked with students to design the luxury interiors, and gave input on areas such as benchmark targets, the concept of drawing automotive interiors, seating criteria, occupancy safety, instrumentation and controls, vehicle entry and exit.
