Cooper Industries Disagrees With Decision in AlliedSignal Case
    HOUSTON, June 11 -- Cooper Industries, Inc. said
today that it disagrees with the verdict in a case involving spark plug
manufacturing processes.  The jury's verdict was announced this morning in the
Wilmington, Delaware, court where the case was heard.  The Company said it
remains confident of its position and intends to seek relief from this
decision.  Cooper is reviewing all available legal options, including an
appeal of the decision.
