Dana Introduces `One Page' Format with Victor Reinz(R) Gasket Catalog
TOLEDO, Ohio, June 9 -- Dana Corporation has
released the 1998 Victor Reinz(R) Master Gasket Catalog (MG-300-98), and has
introduced a new "one page" format with it. The catalog contains complete
gasket listings for domestic and imported passenger cars and light duty
trucks, as well as heavy duty trucks, tractors, and industrial and marine
equipment.
In an industry first, Dana has changed the catalog to a one-page format,
which puts all information for a specific engine in one section of the
catalog. The new format was a joint effort between Victor Reinz and its
customers. Special sections and parts listed in "top of engine down" order,
as well as other changes, came about as a direct result of customer input.
The new catalog was designed to eliminate redundancy and improve the ordering
process.
The 1998 Victor Reinz gasket catalog includes several other new features.
The "Sealing Solutions" section details known problem areas with specific
engines and provides the appropriate name and part number necessary to fix the
problem. Also new is the "Model Cross Reference List," which assists the
catalog user in finding the proper parts listing based on the car's model
name.
Additional changes and improvements to the catalog include 80 new Victor
Reinz gasket part numbers, and 450 part numbers that were not available in
previous catalogs. In addition, the "Miscellaneous Engine Gaskets" section
now lists parts such as camshaft and valve stem seals, and their availability
for
specific engines.
"We are pleased to make these new catalogs available to the industry.
They
should make life easier at all levels of distribution and service. The new
catalog should increase the ease of finding the appropriate Victor Reinz
sealing product and improve efficiency throughout the supply chain," said Tom
Dattilo, vice president of Dana's Sealing Products Group.
The complete catalog is available from Victor Reinz or at Dana's Internet
site on the World Wide Web, at http://www.dana.com.
