MascoTech and Union Reach an Agreement
    TAYLOR, Mich., June 9 -- MascoTech Forming
Technologies-Fraser, Michigan facility and UAW Labor Union Local 155 have
reached an agreement for a new labor contract.
    "We are extremely pleased with the leadership displayed by the Fraser
Plant Committee and UAW officials," said Lee Gardner, President and Co-Chief
Operating Officer of MascoTech .  "Their perseverance and
professionalism during this difficult time was essential to achieving a new
contract."
    "We are optimistic that this new agreement will benefit the long-term
interests of our employees, customers and shareholders," Gardner added.
    MascoTech will continue to invest in new equipment, process technology and
training to position the Fraser facility as a world-class supplier of extruded
transmission shafts and other related powertrain components for the global
automotive industry.
