Best-Ever May Sales Reported by Toyota's Cincinnati Region
CINCINNATI, June 5 -- Toyota's Cincinnati Region posted
record car sales in May of 9,686 vehicles, a 14 percent increase over May 1997
when sales totaled 8,521.
"Our North American-built vehicles, Camry and Corolla, as well as the
Toyota Land Cruiser, all contributed to a record setting sales month for
1998," said Mike Reding, general manager of the Cincinnati Region.
"Camry continues to lead with 4,494 sales, a 23 percent increase, and
Corolla sales of 2,427 were 17 percent over 1997. A strong economy and
consumer confidence enabled our dealers to mirror the entire Toyota Division
by recording its best-ever May sales in its 41-year history."
The Toyota Cincinnati Region includes 118 dealers in Ohio, Kentucky,
Tennessee and the Lower Peninsula of Michigan.
