Chrysler International Down Eight Percent
    AUBURN HILLS, Mich., June 5 -- Chrysler Corporation
announced that total international sales were down eight percent, with 18,040
units sold compared to 19,638 sold during May of last year.  Venezuela leads
all of their international markets for the month, with sales of 2,310 units.
    Joining Venezuela among the top markets internationally for May are
Germany (2,015 units), Spain (1,385 units) and the United Kingdom (1,156
units).
    Total international sales year to date are down nine percent, with
86,596 vehicles sold in 1998 compared to 95,006 sold in 1997.
