Federal-Mogul Appoints Ray Quatrochi, Jr., Director, Product Technology, Automotive, Powertrain Systems - AmericasSOUTHFIELD, Mich., June 5 -- Michael C. Verwilst, vice president, Powertrain Systems - Americas, announces the appointment of Rosario (Ray) Quatrochi, Jr. to the position of director, product technology, automotive, Powertrain Systems - Americas effective immediately. In this role Quatrochi will have responsibility for all product engineering, analytical engineering and test engineering specific to the powertrain product line. Additionally, based on engine experience, Quatrochi will also assist the Powertrain Systems group with the development and marketing of complete systems, the development of manufacturing processes to support systems work and participate in the acquisition process of strategic business opportunities. "In my opinion he is one of the top ten engine engineers in the business and adds significant presence and credibility to our strategy of supplying power cylinder systems to the marketplace." Quatrochi joins Federal-Mogul from Borg Warner Automotive where he served as chief engineer - Precision Forged Products division. Throughout his career Quatrochi also held various engineering positions with increasing responsibilities with General Motors Powertrain, Transportation Technologies, Inc., and Buick Motor Division. Quatrochi earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from General Motors Institute, Flint, Michigan.
