Chrysler Announces May Production

    AUBURN HILLS, Mich. June 4 -- Chrysler Corporation
produced 271,499 cars and trucks in it's worldwide assembly plants in May
1998.  Car production for May totaled 79,369; and truck production 192,130.
U.S. and Canadian production totaled 234,314 for May 1998, as compared to
194,488 for May 1997.
