Tachi-S Engineering U.S.A. Inc. Holds Grand Opening At New North American HeadquartersFARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., June 4 -- Farmington Hills based Tachi-S Engineering U.S.A Inc., a supplier of automotive seating, is having a Grand Opening Reception today for their new North American headquarters. The 37,000 square foot facility will be open for guests to tour design, engineering, prototype, testing, and administrative departments. Guests will be welcomed by Tachi-S Engineering executives Masahiko Enami, President and Sho Yokoyama, Executive Vice President of Engineering and their wives. At 1 p.m. Kiyoshi Saito, President of Tachi-S Co., Ltd. Tokyo, Japan and Chairman and CEO of Tachi-S Engineering and Masahiko Enami will give speeches commemorating Tachi-S Engineering's growth and continued commitment to its customers. "We spent a great deal of time in the design of this building so that we may better serve our customers and also to provide our employees with a comfortable place to work," said Kiyoshi Saito, Chairman and CEO of Tachi-S Engineering. "We've increased our overall space by 30% and security was enhanced to ensure the confidentiality of all of our customers' products that we may be working on. With Tachi-S Engineering's new facility in North America and Tachi-S Co., Ltd's Technical Center and Aichi Research and Development Center in Japan we will be able to provide 24 hour development capabilities. We have come to recognize that this 24 hour development capability will become essential if we are going to meet our customers' continuing shorter development schedules." Tachi-S Engineering U.S.A. Inc. is a 100% subsidiary of Tachi-S Co., Ltd., Tokyo Japan. Tachi-S Co., Ltd. is the largest independent seating supplier in Japan, supplying to nine of eleven Japanese OEMs. Tachi-S Engineering currently supplies design, engineering, prototype, and testing services for automotive seating systems to OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
