FANUC Robotics Expands Operations in Brazil
ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich., June 3 -- FANUC Robotics North
America, Inc. has expanded its operations in Brazil by moving into a new
10,000-square-foot facility in the city of Sao Paulo.
These operations were previously located in a 960-square-foot facility in
that same city, which the company had occupied since 1994.
"Steady growth throughout the company has prompted our expansion in
Brazil," said Richard Estes, general manager of FANUC Robotics' Latin American
operations. "We have 11 facilities in the North America/Latin America region.
We recently announced the opening of a new facility in Aguascalientes, Mexico,
to complement the work of our Mexico City facility, and now we've moved our
operations in Sao Paulo, Brazil, to a facility more than 10 times the size of
the former one. The increased capabilities afforded by this expansion allows
us to serve our ever-growing list of customers throughout Latin America in a
timely and cost-efficient manner."
