Federal-Mogul Recognized by Ryobi Outdoor Products as Supplier of the Year

    SOUTHFIELD, Mich., June 3 -- Federal-Mogul Corporation's
Wausau, Wisconsin manufacturing facility has been recognized by
Ryobi Outdoor Products, Incorporated as Supplier of the Year.
    "Our Wausau facility has shipped over 5.5 million parts with zero defects
and on-time delivery over the last three years," said Mike Verwilst, vice
president, Powertrain Systems - Americas.  "I am extremely proud of this
team's total dedication and commitment to excellence."
    This award is given annually to suppliers that provide outstanding product
quality and superior customer service.  Federal-Mogul's Wausau facility
supplies 100 percent of the piston rings Ryobi uses for their gas-powered lawn
equipment.
    "This is an outstanding achievement by our employees," said Tom McCarty,
plant manager, Wausau.  "It takes a true team effort and constant attention to
detail throughout the organization to achieve such a milestone.  This award is
a direct reflection of our employees' commitment to continuously exceed our

    The Wausau facility manufactures piston rings for the original equipment
North American automotive small engine and compressor markets.
