Subaru Revs Up Their Supply Chain With Logility
Demand and Supply Chain Voyager to Provide
                Internet Forecasting and Inventory Deployment

ATLANTA, May 28 -- Logility , the leading
supplier of collaborative value chain planning solutions via the Internet,
announced today that Subaru of America, Inc. has chosen the capabilities of
Logility Value Chain Solutions to help the company reduce vehicle inventory
costs and more accurately plan for customer demand.
"In order to further capitalize on the Subaru success story, our company
needs an advanced planning system with two key features," said Fred Adcock,
Vice President of Sales at Subaru. "First, a world-class forecasting engine
that can identify and report sales trends at varying levels of detail for our
analysis team was needed. Logility Value Chain Solutions gives us that.
Second, we needed a way to make planning information available to our regional
offices to enable collaboration on all aspects of sales planning, from factory
orders to the final deployment decision. Logility's unique use of Internet
technologies in Demand Chain Voyager and Supply Chain Voyager offers us this
solution as well."
"Logility has led the market in using the Internet and intranets as tools
to help solve value chain problems," said Mike Edenfield, CEO of Logility.
"Subaru has recognized the impact this technology can have on bottom line
results and we're very pleased to work with them." Subaru has licensed the
Demand Planning, Inventory Planning and Replenishment Planning, as well as the
Demand and Supply Chain Voyager modules of Logility Value Chain Solutions
suite.
The Demand Planning component of Logility Value Chain Solutions reconciles
demand history, orders, point-of-sale data and other data to produce
comprehensive forecasts of demand.
Inventory Planning uses rules-based policies and industry best practices
to determine the optimal balance between inventory levels and customer
service. The company will also use Replenishment Planning, which enables
continuous replenishment policies with advanced, constraint-based, time-phased
plans. Logility's award-winning products, Demand and Supply Chain Voyager,
allow customers to conduct collaborative planning over the Internet or a
company's intranet.
Subaru of America, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Fuji Heavy
