Lund International Holdings, Inc. Names Ronald C. Fox Chief Financial Officer

    ANOKA, Minn., May 27 -- Lund International Holdings, Inc.
announced today that Ronald C. Fox, Vice President of Finance
and former Chief Financial Officer of Deflecta-Shield Corporation, has been
named Chief Financial Officer of the Company.  Jay M. Allsup will resign from
the position of Chief Financial Officer effective May 29, 1998, but has agreed
to serve in a consulting capacity.
    "In connection with Lund's acquisition of Deflecta-Shield, the elimination
of redundant positions within the merged company is in line with our
consolidation plan," stated William J. McMahon, Chief Executive Officer.  "Ron
brings to Lund years of experience in the automotive market, as well as the
public sector.  Prior to Ron's tenure at Deflecta-Shield, he was Chief
Financial Officer at Bestop, Inc., a leading manufacturer of soft tops for the
automotive accessory market."
    Lund is a leading designer, manufacturer and marketer of a broad line of
appearance accessories for new and used light trucks, including pickup trucks,
sport utility vehicles, mini-vans and other vans.  The corporation is
