Quantum Controls Achieves ISO 9001 Certification
    DETROIT, May 19 -- Plymouth, Michigan-based Quantum Controls,
Inc. (QCI), a leading industrial automation and control system integrator, has
become one of the nation's first companies of its type to earn the prestigious
ISO 9001 quality certification. Quality is a priority at QCI where it has
earned the Ford Motor Company's Q1 Quality Award in 1996 and now ISO 9001
certification from OMNEX-Automotive Quality System Registrar, Inc. Achieving
ISO Certification is a part of QCI's commitment to continuous improvement and
an on-going process to maintain Q1 status.
    "Maintaining the highest quality standards in everything we do gives us an
advantage in a very competitive industry," said QCI President Prafulla Pande.
"Our ISO certification provides us with an excellent means for managing the
company's projected growth and maintaining high customer satisfaction."
    The ISO certification process was completed in less than one year as a
result of using the corporate Intranet for collaboration and storage of ISO

developed by QCI's subsidiary, Quantum Solutions, Inc. (QSI). The software
package is now commercially available.
