APA: J.D. Power Boosts Its Own Quality on May 27, 1998

    After years of giving the auto industry ever tougher quality hurdles to
jump, J.D. Power and Associates has decided to bring out an all-new model of
their own.
    It's called IQS2 and is the first all-new version of the firm's initial
quality study since its inception in 1987.  Top executives will detail the
changes, the reasons behind them and what they mean to the auto industry.
    Power is hosting the luncheon May 27 at the Detroit Athletic Club.
Cocktails at 11:30 a.m., lunch is at noon.  Coats and ties required for men.
