Ford 1998 Annual Meeting Voting ResultsCINCINNATI, May 14 -- A total of 299 persons attended the 43rd annual meeting of Ford Motor Company shareholders today at the Westin Hotel. Preliminary voting results indicate that a total of 896,630,901 shares of common stock and 70,793,820 shares of Class B stock were represented at the annual meeting in person or by proxy. These shares represent 87.07 percent of the vote that could be cast. On Proposal 1, each director received at least 1,643,279,816 votes, or 99.14 percent of the votes cast at the meeting.
