Federal-Mogul Plant in Michigan Wins Saturn Quality Award

Federal-Mogul's St. Johns, Michigan Facility Earns Saturn's Quality Recognition Award

    SOUTHFIELD, Mich., May 12 -- Federal-Mogul Corporation's
St. Johns, Michigan manufacturing facility has earned Saturn's
Quality Recognition Award.
    Awards are given annually to suppliers that exceed Saturn's stringent
quality criteria by having less than 25 parts-per-million nonconformance,
maintaining a shipping performance of 95 percent or better, and are proactive
in developing cost improvements.
    "We are honored to receive this award," said Mike Verwilst, vice
president, Powertrain Systems - Americas.  "The St. Johns team is very
customer focused and extremely dedicated to providing quality, innovative
products along with on-time shipping.  I commend their efforts and look
forward to a continued partnership with Saturn."
    The awards were presented at a reception at the Union Station in Spring
Hill, Tennessee.  This is the sixth year Saturn held an award ceremony for its
suppliers who exceed Saturn's expectations.

"This year's criteria is more stringent than last year's.  It is a tribute to
our suppliers that each year they help Saturn to reach new heights of
excellence."
    Federal-Mogul's St. Johns facility manufactures precision bushings and
washers for a wide range of uses including automotive engines and
transmissions, farm and construction equipment, trucks and a variety of other
applications for original equipment and aftermarket customers.  The plant
currently manufactures and ships over one million pieces per day with 4,000
part numbers available.
