GNB Batteries Earn Top RatingATLANTA, May 11 -- The GNB Technologies Group 58 lead-acid automotive battery topped ratings in recent tests performed at Ross Laboratories in Cleveland, Ohio. Ross is an independent laboratory that tests lead-acid batteries against manufacturers' claims. The tests were performed on four competitive brands of group size 58 lead- acid automotive batteries to measure the manufacturers' claims for Cranking Amps (CA) and Reserve Capacity (RC) against actual performance data. "The GNB group size 58/58R batteries not only exceeded its CCA and RC ratings, but also outperformed our competitors," said Steve Purcell, Vice President of Marketing, for GNB Technologies. "It's satisfying to know that we went head-to-head with other leading brands and came out on top." Ross Labs conducts random tests each month on lead-acid batteries for all applications including marine, heavy duty and others from various manufacturers. Batteries are purchased in the field and subjected to standard BCI (Battery Council International) tests. GNB's Group 58/58R fits various Ford vehicles from model years 1981-98, the Mazda MX6, Chrysler's Dodge Neon, Ford's Taurus and Sables from model years 1996-98 and Ford Probe, model years 1991-97.
