Chrysler Donates Dodge Viper to Ferris State University To Further Educational Opportunities in the Chrysler Apprentice Program (CAP)

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., May 8 -- It is often said in education
that people learn from hands-on experience. Chrysler Corporation
and its nearly 4,500 dealers nationwide support that theory.
Through the Chrysler Apprentice Program, the Company is making a further
commitment to enhancing automotive services to customers in the area while at
the same time promoting greater educational opportunities for future
automotive technicians by donating a Dodge Viper to the Ferris State
University automotive technical department.
"Chrysler has donated a Dodge Viper so that the student technicians
enrolled in school get all the educational advantages Chrysler Corporation and
the School of Transportation and Electronics have to offer," said Eugene
Mahon, Field Operations Executive for Sales and Service at Chrysler. "This
donation ensures that Chrysler owners will continue to receive the best
automotive care possible when serviced by Chrysler trained technicians at
dealerships nationwide."
Donations by Chrysler and its dealers also allow for the recruiting and
potential placement of specially trained technicians who are familiar with
Chrysler products. In addition to the CAP Program, Chrysler works with the
College of Technology at Ferris State University for recruiting summer interns
as potential field sales and service personnel.
