Federal-Mogul Receives Preferred Quality Supplier Award from Cummins Engine

    SOUTHFIELD, Mich., May 6 -- Federal-Mogul Corporation's
Fuel System Components operation in Logansport, Indiana has earned
the prestigious Preferred Quality Supplier Award from Cummins Engine Co., Inc.
.  This award is presented to Cummins' top suppliers in recognition
of quality, reliability, service performance and technical support.  The award
was presented yesterday to the manufacturing and technical center employees in
Logansport.  Federal-Mogul manufactures mechanical and electric diesel lift
pumps for Cummins Engine.
    "We're very proud to receive this recognition from Cummins Engine Co.  It
rewards the dedicated efforts and customer service orientation of the entire
Logansport Team," said Steven C. Feeny, vice president, general products
operations.
    The Federal-Mogul Logansport manufacturing facility produces electric fuel
pumps in many variations including: turbine, gerotor, twin-impeller, roller
vane, rotary vane and solenoid pumps.  Federal-Mogul also manufactures lift
pumps, electric fuel delivery modules and hanger assemblies.  Federal-Mogul
fuel system components are marketed under the Carter(R) brand name for both
original equipment and aftermarket customers.  The Logansport manufacturing
facility and technical center employs approximately 600 people.
