Roznowski Joins Johnson Controls as Public Relations ManagerPLYMOUTH, Mich., May 5 -- David J. Roznowski has joined the Plymouth, Michigan-based Automotive Systems Group of Johnson Controls, Inc. as manager of public relations. The announcement was made by Jeff Steiner, director of worldwide marketing communications for Johnson Controls. As public relations manager -- a newly created position -- Roznowski reports to Steiner and will be responsible for the automotive suppliers' external communications. He will be the primary media contact for future automotive-related announcements and inquiries. Roznowski also will be involved in other internal and external marketing communications activities. Roznowski joins Johnson Controls from Troy, Michigan-based Bianchi Public Relations, Inc. where he had been an account supervisor. While at Bianchi PR, he was responsible for the overall strategic planning and day-to-day account activities for the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG), of Southfield, while assisting in the media relations efforts on behalf of the firm's other automotive clients. Before joining Bianchi Public Relations as a senior account executive in 1995, Roznowski had been the public relations director for CDI Computer Services, of Troy, Michigan. He began his career with General Motors' former Inland Fisher Guide Division -- now Delphi Automotive Systems -- in the communications and public affairs department. Roznowski earned a bachelor of arts degree in public relations and speech communication from Wayne State University in Detroit. He served eight years with the Michigan Air National Guard. Roznowski is an active member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), the Automotive Press Association and the Adcraft Club of Detroit.
