SPX's Contech Business Receives GM Supplier of The YearMUSKEGON, Mich., May 5 -- SPX Corporation today announced its Contech division has been selected as one of General Motors Suppliers of the Year for 1997. Contech supplies precision aluminum die-cast components to General Motors for use in steering applications. "Contech demonstrated that they are among the 'Best of the Best' suppliers for complex die-castings," said Harold R. Kutner, GM's vice president for Worldwide Purchasing and North American Production Control & Logistics.
