American Trucking Association Honors Quast Transfer with Four National Awards at Communications Competition

Company Recognized for Featuring Customer Service

WINSTED, Minn., May 4 -- Quast Transfer, Inc. today announced
that it received four awards from the American Trucking Association Sales and
Marketing Council. The awards were given out at a national sales and
marketing conference held recently in Hilton Head, S.C. Motor carriers from
throughout the United States and Canada participated in the competition.
Quast took first place in the sales literature and specialty items
categories, second place for overall campaign and third place for specialty
items. The Quast materials feature an illustrated Quast truck jumping through
a hoop, which represents the company's total commitment to customer service.
"The customer comes first at Quast," said Randy Quast, president and CEO.
"Our marketing campaign is based on what 700 hard-working Quast employees
believe in -- doing whatever it takes to satisfy the needs of our customers."
"To be recognized by our peers is a great honor," said Tom Nagel, vice
president of sales and marketing. "We've set high standards at Quast,
including our marketing communications."
The winning Quast items include a calendar, a sales flyer, and a holiday
card -- the latter item featuring an illustration of a Quast truck going
though a holiday wreath. The overall campaign and individual items were
designed and produced by Snow Communications, Inc. of Minneapolis, a marketing
and public relations firm.
"Quast has redefined what customer service is in the less-than-truckload
market," said Joshua Schneck, president of Snow Communications. "The campaign
captures the inventiveness and commitment of a very spirited company. We're
proud to be a part of Quast's marketing effort."
