Porsche Reports April Sales

Porsche U.S. Sales up Twenty-Nine Percent Through April 1998

    ATLANTA, May 4 -- Porsche Cars North America, importer and
distributor of Porsche sports cars in the United States, today announced sales
and stock figures for the month of April 1998.  Figures reflect a 64% increase
in sales for the Boxster, the model runout of the 1998 911 Carrera, and the
mid-month introduction of the 1999 911 Carrera.  The result contributes to a
29% sales increase for the 1998 calendar year to date.
