business.
Thomas F. Lewis is promoted from general manager of the LVS Motors
business to LVS vice president, Operations. He is responsible for business-
wide manufacturing operations, with special focus on developing and
implementing functional strategic and capital plans. To enhance manufacturing
synergy across Meritor, Lewis will work in close coordination with his
counterpart in Meritor's Heavy Vehicle Systems.
Ken Schang is the new director of Commercial Marketing for LVS. Schang is
responsible for coordination of sales and marketing strategies across all LVS
product lines to maximize sales growth and opportunities. Schang comes to
Meritor from BTR Sealing Systems of North America, where he most recently
served as commercial director - Sales and Marketing.
With the recent promotion of Juan De La Riva to vice president, Business
Development and Communication, the position of general manager, LVS Wheels
business became vacant. Bob Patrician, vice president of Meritor's Suspension
Systems Company, will fill the general manager position until a permanent
successor is named.
LVS Motors, previously a stand-alone business, will now be integrated with
the Door Systems and Seat Adjusting Systems businesses. This realignment will
help shorten development cycle time, improve cost efficiencies and enhance
Meritor's responsiveness to the product and system needs of global automotive
customers.

including military, bus and coach, and fire and rescue; and Light Vehicle
Systems, a major supplier of roof, door, access control and seat adjusting
systems, electric motors and electronic controls, suspension systems and
