Land Rover Reports April Sales

    LANHAM, Md., May 1 -- Land Rover North America, Inc. today
reported April sales of 1,696 compared to the 1,913 units sold in April 1997.

    Charles R. Hughes, President, Land Rover North America, Inc., said, "As we

Discovery LE model under special lease terms."  The V8-powered 4x4 is now
available with $50 due at signing and a monthly payment of $485 for a 36-month
