Federal-Mogul Receives John Deere's Achieving Excellence Award Program

    SOUTHFIELD, Mich., April 29 -- Federal-Mogul Corporation's
Skokie, Illinois manufacturing facility has received top ranking
from John Deere's Achieving Excellence Award Program.
    The award program ranks suppliers based on quality, delivery, cost index,
technical support and wavelength.  Suppliers must excel in each category in
order to be honored.
    John Deere's top ranking award is Partner Status followed by Key Supplier.
The Skokie facility received Partner Status from John Deere's Waterloo Engine
Works and also earned Key Supplier status from John Deere's Dubuque, Iowa
location.

received high ratings in all categories, while maintaining excellent quality

    The Skokie facility manufacturers gaskets for automotive and heavy-duty
