Chrysler Canada Announces New Chairman of the Board; Also New President and C.E.O.WINDSOR, Ont., April 21 /CNW-PRN/ - The Board of Directors of Chrysler Canada Ltd. today announced the election of William C. Glaub as President, Chief Executive Officer, and a Director of Chrysler Canada Ltd. In this position Mr. Glaub will succeed the late G.Y. Landry, who served as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer since January 1, 1990. William (Bill) Glaub was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1949. He joined Chrysler Corporation in 1971. After serving in several sales related positions, Mr. Glaub was appointed Boston Zone Manager in 1981, Chicago Zone Manager in 1983, Truck Merchandising Manager in 1986, Pacific Regional Manager in 1987, and Eastern Regional Manager in 1989. He was named General Sales Manager for the Eastern Region in 1991, the Central Region in 1993, and then General Sales Manager - Field Sales Operations in 1994. In 1996 he became Executive Director - Field Operations. Most recently, in May 1996, Mr. Glaub was appointed General Manager - Fleet Operations. In this position, Mr. Glaub directed sales and marketing of Chrysler Corporation vehicles to U.S. Government and private fleets, and he oversaw fleet regional sales and company car programs. Bill Glaub holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Knox College, and is a graduate of the Executive Training Program at Northwestern University. The Board of Directors also announced the appointment of James P. Holden as Chairman of the Board for Chrysler Canada Ltd. Mr. Holden brings to Chrysler Canada Ltd. extensive experience in Chrysler Corporation's sales, marketing and operations. He was born in Windsor, Ontario in 1951. On January 1, 1998, Mr. Holden was named Executive Vice President - Sales and Marketing and General Manager - Minivan Operations for Chrysler Corporation. In this capacity he directs all activities of Chrysler Corporation's U.S., Mexico and Canadian sales, fleet and marketing organizations, as well as the Mopar parts operations. He also oversees communications, Chrysler de Mexico and minivan platform operations. He will continue in this capacity in addition to assuming the role of Chairman of the Board of Chrysler Canada Ltd. SOURCE Chrysler Canada Ltd.
