As of April 13, 1998, the Company had a total of 24 distribution, and retail outlets. The Company's fourth quarter ended December 31 showed a 16 percent gain in sales to $12.3 million and, despite the cost of acquisitions, profits rose to $1,266,616 compared with income of $920,484 in the same quarter a year earlier. The spokesperson continued that "our goal is to manufacture many of the products that we sell at retail, particularly those among the fifteen most demanded items, and to be a significant national retailer." Currently, The Colonel's has outlets in 13 states. Manufactured products sold through Company owned distribution now include bedliners, tonneau covers, caps and shells. It is also the nation's largest manufacturer of replacement auto bumpers. Looking ahead at the current year, the spokesperson indicated that "we are expecting 1998 to be another terrific year as we continue our program of expansion."
