AutoZone Names Longo Senior Vice President - Distribution Customer Satisfaction

    MEMPHIS, Tenn., April 15 -- John C. Adams Jr., chairman and
chief executive officer of AutoZone, Inc. , today announced the
promotion of Michael E. Longo, 36, to Senior Vice President - Distribution,
Customer Satisfaction. He previously held the title of Vice President -
Distribution, Customer Satisfaction.
    Longo graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in
1983 and earned an MBA from the Harvard School of Business in 1991. He joined
AutoZone in 1992 as a regional manager of distribution and was promoted to
vice president in 1996.
