Federal-Mogul Announces Organizational Structure For Powertrain Systems - Americas, AutomotiveSOUTHFIELD, Mich., April 9 -- Michael C. Verwilst, vice president, Powertrain Systems - Americas, Federal-Mogul Corporation announces the organizational structure for the Powertrain Systems - Americas, Automotive with the following appointments reporting to Verwilst: * Richard Hangach, controller, automotive * Richard Levin, director, manufacturing operations * Randall Patton, director, automotive sales and application engineering * William Wyllie, marketing manager The appointment for the position of director, product technology has not been determined at this time. "Once the acquisition of T&N became final our collective resources have been directed in primarily two areas," said Verwilst. "The first is serving our customers and keeping the operations running and the second is to assemble the very best organization possible. We are working on the latter with as much speed and precision as possible in order to get a quick start on the business challenges in front of us. The balance of our organizational structure should now begin to fall into place very quickly so we can take advantage of the opportunities before us." Richard Hangach, Controller, Automotive Richard Hangach has been appointed controller, automotive. Hangach's previous position was financial analysis manager, manufacturing operations with Federal-Mogul. He began his career with Federal-Mogul in 1974 and has held a number of financial positions in manufacturing including plant controller at the St. Johns, Michigan, facility. Hangach earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and accounting from Wayne State University. Richard Levin, Director, Manufacturing Operations Richard Levin has been appointed director, manufacturing operations. Levin will have responsibility for the engine bearing, bushing, and washer facilities in Blacksburg, Virginia; St. Johns, Michigan; Puebla, Mexico; LaPlata, Argentina; and Sao Paulo, Brazil. He will also have responsibility for the piston operations in South Bend, Indiana; Decaroli, Argentina; and La Grange, Georgia. Levin's most recent assignment was general manager of Alumni-Tech's Kentucky manufacturing operations. Prior to this, he was employed by Federal- Mogul as plant manager in Blacksburg, Virginia. Levin's career at Federal- Mogul began as plant manager for the Greensburg, Indiana, ball bearing facility. Prior to joining Federal-Mogul, he held a number of manufacturing positions at Outboard Marine Corporation. Levin holds a business diploma from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management in Lake Forest, Illinois. Randall Patton, Director, Automotive Sales and Application Engineering Randall Patton has been appointed director, automotive sales and application engineering. Patton's responsibilities include sales and engineering functions for the automotive markets for pistons, liners, rings, bearings, bushings, washers and cylinder systems. Prior to this appointment, he was the automotive sales and engineering manager for Federal-Mogul's engine and transmission products. Patton's career at Federal-Mogul has included a number of manufacturing and sales positions. He started at the St. Johns, Michigan, plant as the materials manager in 1979. Patton studied business at Ohio State University. William Wyllie, Marketing Manager William Wyllie has been appointed marketing manager. Wyllie's previous assignment with Federal-Mogul was marketing manager for engine and transmission products - Americas. Wyllie's career with Federal-Mogul has included positions in sales and marketing including the oil seal business and international operations. Wyllie earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan and a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial management from the University of Detroit.
