Federal-Mogul Announces Organizational Structure For Powertrain Systems - Americas

    SOUTHFIELD, Mich., April 9 -- Michael C. Verwilst, vice
president, Powertrain Systems - Americas, Federal-Mogul Corporation
announces the organizational structure for the Powertrain Systems
- Americas with the following appointments:

    *  Doug Hollis, director, finance
    *  David Krohn, vice president, heavy duty
    *  Graeme Nicol, director, technology
    *  Rick O'Neal, director, human resources

    The appointment for the position of director, automotive, Powertrain
Systems - Americas has not been determined at this time.

    Doug Hollis, Director, Finance, Powertrain Systems - Americas
    Doug Hollis has been appointed director, finance, Powertrain Systems -
Americas.
    Prior to this appointment, Hollis was manufacturing controller with
responsibilities for the Americas and World Trade.  Since joining Federal-
Mogul in 1972, Hollis has progressed through various key accounting management
positions in several business units including St. Johns, Michigan, Greensburg,
Indiana and various positions within Southfield.  He has held the position of
controller since 1984.
    Hollis holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Xavier
University and a Bachelor's degree in industrial management from Lawrence
Technological University in Southfield, Michigan.

    David Krohn, Vice President, Powertrain Systems - Americas, Heavy Duty
    David Krohn has been appointed vice president, Powertrain Systems -
Americas, Heavy Duty.
    Prior to this appointment, Krohn held the position of president - AE
Goetze - North America.  Krohn began his career with the T&N organization in
1975, working with Gould and Clevite Industries as operations manager and as
general manager, pistons and sleeves with J.P. Industries.
    Krohn earned a Master of Business Administration degree in management and
finance from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Science degree in
business administration and economics from Winona State University in Winona,
Minnesota.

    Rick O'Neal, Director, Human Resources, Powertrain Systems - Americas
    Rick O'Neal has been appointed to director, human resources, Powertrain
Systems - Americas.
    O'Neal was appointed to his most recent position, human resources manager
- United States Manufacturing in March 1997.  O'Neal joined Federal-Mogul in
1986 and has held positions of increasing responsibility at the Malden,
Missouri and St. Johns, Michigan plants before moving in 1995 to Southfield as
human resources manager for engine and transmission products and general
products.
    O'Neal is a graduate of Southwest Missouri State where he received a
Bachelor's degree in human resources.
