Walbro Corporation Announces Commitment for New Line of Credit

    CASS CITY, Mich., April 9 -- Walbro Corporation
has announced that it has received a commitment for a new $150
million line of credit from NationsBank Business Credit.  NationsBank Business
Credit is a division of NationsBank Corporation , the third largest
banking company in the United States.  The proceeds of the line of credit will
be used to refinance some of the Company's secured indebtedness, finance
capital expenditures and meet working capital needs.  Closing of this
transaction is subject to the customary conditions.
    In announcing the new line of credit, L. E. Althaver, Chairman and Chief
Executive Officer, Walbro Corporation, noted, "We are pleased to have arranged
this new credit facility with NationsBank, which supports Walbro's ongoing
strategy to provide fuel storage and delivery systems to the global
marketplace.  The Company remains committed to its core activities while
maintaining a strong bottom line focus and enhancing stockholder value."
