GenCorp Board Declares Dividend

    FAIRLAWN, Ohio, March 25 -- Today the Board of Directors of
GenCorp Inc. declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.15 per share
on the issued and outstanding $0.10 par value common stock of the company
payable May 29, 1998 to shareholders of record on May 1, 1998.
    GenCorp is a technology-driven manufacturing company with strong positions
in numerous polymer markets, as well as the automotive and aerospace and
defense industries.
